Special Covers of Karnataka 2021 - ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ೨೦೨೧ರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಂಚೆ ಲಕೋಟೆಗಳು.

  74 Special covers were released during the Vaccination year.

With hopes of saying goodbye to Covid-19 , the year started with the release of a special cover on Bird festival on 5th Jan and a special cover to mark the 'Covid-19 Vaccination Launch' on 16th Jan. In addition, Belagavi Post released 5 special cover including a Flight carried cover .

Two flight carried covers were released - Kalaburagi to Tirupati and Belagavi to Nashik.

With the onset of the lethal 2nd wave of covid , there were no releases till the end of June. A special cover on 512th Birth anniversary of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda was released on 27th June. 

As part of National directive, Karnataka Post released 19 overs on GI Tagged Products, with few high priced covers, with poor justifcation to the cost, which were a spoiler for young collectors.

Karnataka being the top state with most number of GI Tagged products at the time, Karnataka Post had infomed that all 42 GI tagged products would be recognised with a special cover, waiting for the release of remaining covers.

• 19 special covers on GI Tagged Products were released. infomation on release of 3 other covers is not available.

• 10 Special covers on various National,International and World Days, Wildlife and 5 Special covers on Freedom Fighters to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and 8 covers on Kannada Jnanpith awardees (images awaited) were released.
